Everyone knows about the Toyota Camry. Since 1983, it has been one of the top-selling sedans in the world. The Camry has a reputation for being safe, reliable, economical, and an all-around great car for drivers of all experience levels. We are looking forward to offering the 2025 Toyota Camry for sale as it continues a tradition of exceptional value and enjoyment.

But what about the other sedans out there? With its numbers dwindling, the Toyota Camry faces less competition each year. The Kia K5 has been refreshed for 2025, making it an attractive option for sedan drivers. While the refresh is impressive, we can’t help but think that the 2025 Toyota Camry is a top choice for sedan drivers in the new model year. Check out some of our favorite features to see why the new Camry is an exceptional choice.

Power, Performance, the Future, and You

For years, sedans have come with a variety of engine options, all of which are generally tuned to provide outstanding fuel economy. 2025 is a banner year for Toyota, as the Camry will be offered with a single engine option: a 2.5L 4-cylinder paired with the fifth-generation Toyota Hybrid System. The resulting vehicle comes in your choice of front-wheel drive with a combined 225 hp or Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive with 232 hp.

The Kia K5 has two engine options, depending on the model you select. All but the GT are equipped with a brand-new 2.5L 4-cylinder engine as well. However, while the 2025 K5 has an increased 191 hp and improved 181 lb-ft of torque, it still falls short compared to the Camry. The GT model is equipped with a turbocharged version of this engine that makes 290 hp and 311 lb-ft of torque.

While Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive with a dedicated rear-wheel motor for ultimate control is offered across all 2025 Camry models, only the 2025 Kia K5 GT-Line trim is offered with all-wheel drive. Therefore, if you are looking for the peace of mind of precision on-demand torque distribution and extra stability that comes with all-wheel drive, you can select from exactly one Kia K5 or any of the 4 Toyota Camry grades.

And yes, there is a significant difference in fuel economy. The base front-wheel drive trim of the 2025 Kia K5 has a combined fuel economy of 30 MPG. The base front-wheel drive trim of the 2025 Toyota Camry has a combined fuel economy of 51 MPG. And though fuel economy varies depending on grade and accessories, all of the Camry all-wheel drive models have a combined fuel economy of over 50 MPG.

Peace of Mind Wherever Your Travels Take You

We can’t help but be excited about all of the safety and driver assistance equipment automotive manufacturers are developing for today’s vehicles. While nothing takes the place of alert and defensive driving, both the 2025 Toyota Camry and the 2025 Kia K5 have received updates to their driver assistance technology.

Each and every 2025 Camry includes the latest Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 package. This newly updated suite of features includes Toyota’s Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, which provides audible and visual alerts when front sensors indicate a potential collision with a person, vehicle, bike, or motorcycle. It also provides automatic emergency braking. Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control allows drivers to set their cruise control to maintain a certain distance from traffic at all times. Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist and Lane Tracing Assist keeps your Camry safely and comfortably in the correct lane, while Proactive Driving Assist ensures you avoid any potential hazards with steering and braking assistance. Road Sign Assist and Automatic High Beams round out the Camry’s standard 2025 safety package.

Stepping up to the XLE and XSE grades, drivers can select an optional Premium Plus Package, which adds Traffic Jam Assist, Front Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Change Assist, a Panoramic View Monitor, along with Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking.

The 2025 K5 has plenty of safety updates as well, but they aren’t standard on all vehicles. The base LXS trim now includes Kia’s Fusion-Type Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go with Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, along with Forward and Reverse Park Distance Warning. The EX trim includes a Blind-Spot View Monitor and Surround View Monitor, along with a Reverse Parking Collision Avoidance Assist and Park Distance Warning, but these technologies are not offered on the GT-Line and are offered as an option on the GT trim. Since the GT-Line is the only model offered with all-wheel drive, that means that these optional safety features are not available in conjunction with all-wheel drive.

Plenty of Features for All to Enjoy

We get it. Having the right amount of power, peace of mind, and savings at the gas pump are all great things, but at the end of the day, we all want to enjoy our experience behind the wheel. That means selecting a vehicle that has all the comfort and convenience features you need to get from point A to point B.

The 2025 Camry is offered in LE, SE, XLE, and XSE trims. The LE trim includes a standard 6-speaker audio system attached to an 8-inch infotainment screen that supplies wireless Bluetooth technology along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. For XLE and XSE drivers, and as an option for SE drivers, the infotainment screen grows to 12.3 inches, and a JBL Premium audio system can be optioned in.

The Kia K5 lineup includes the LXS, the GT-Line, GT, and EX trims. All 2025 Kia K5s include a 12.3-inch infotainment screen and a 6-speaker audio system as well, with the exception of the top EX trim, which includes a 12-speaker Bose audio system. In fact, most of the 2025 K5 feature updates are centered around the top EX trim, including the cabin design, number of USB ports, bonus 12.3-inch digital instrument display, and leather-wrapped steering wheel. The EX trim has all sorts of top-shelf features that many drivers would appreciate, but might not be in every driver’s budget. As for the Camry, nearly all of the top-grade XSE features can be had as an option on any of the more budget-friendly models.
